More Than 300 Donkeys Vaccinated :

        It is important that donkeys and mules must be vaccinated against a variety of life threatening and performance limiting diseases including Equine influenza, Tetanus and Rotavirus.  The vaccine is safe, easily administered and 100% effective in preventing what is a serious and often life threatening condition.

        Many families survival, in and around Sagroli, mostly depend on donkeys as is only source of income for them.  But donkeys are subjected to brutal abuse by their owners.  Many a times they fall victims to extreme brutality. Keeping a close watch, under the banner of Dharma Donkey Sanctuary, SSM has been undertaking many preventive measures including vaccination camps,  disinfectant treatment and such for the last 17 years.  Such campus of vaccination and disinfectant treatments have been arranged at Sagroli, Hipparga, Sawali, Khatgaon, Wannali and Sawali.  More than 300 donkeys have been vaccinated under able guidance of Dr. Bhushan Sadar and Livestock Supervisor Dhondiba Gaikwad.  SSM in association with Brooke Hospital for Animals and Blue Cross of Hyderabad has been playing their key role in this area.

VANMOHASTAV – The planting Festival:

                  Three days planting festival has been observed here at various locations in and around Sagroli.  Students and NCC Cadets from various educational units of SSM volunteered their services to make this people’s movement a great success.  More than 1500 saplings have been planted at the picturesque foothill of Balabhat and in Shimpala lake.   Every year Vanmohatsav is observed from 1 to 7 July across India since 1950.  During a daylong visit to Sagroli, Nanded District Collector Shri Arun Dongare marked his presence in the festival by planting a sapling of Neem in Shimpala lake.

A pleasant Look at Maha-Telangana Border:

         Karla, a village near Sagroli does not bear any identity except that a check-post located here on the border of Maharashtra-Telangana State.  A number of vehicles stop here for paying taxes or security checking.   The entry point leave the first impression on the tourist and commuters coming to Maharashtra.  But such remote places are given least importance and present a very shabby picture.         Grieved at beaten condition and growth of thorny plants, SSM Chairman Shri Pramodji Deshmukh proposed to beautify the area of four acres to give a pleasant look.  No sooner said than done.  SSM sought essential approvals from various Govt.
